Court Street Grocers is a popular sandwich and grocery store that can be found in four locations across New York.

The Carrol Gardens branch is the main store which is named after, and located on 485 Court Street, Brooklyn.

The other branches are Red Hook (Court Street Grocers Hero Shop), Manhattan (Court Street Grocers LaGuardia Place), and Williamsburg (Grocers Lunch).

The Stores might be known mostly for their sandwiches but they also offer a wide variety of food items.

How It All Started

Court Street Grocers was started on November 8th, 2010 by Eric Finkelstein and Matt Ross. The Founders’ sourced for regional food items to create the quirky sandwiches that are known and loved all over New York.

 Like many other grocery stores, you can expect to find stacked shelves of groceries when you walk into any of their stores. Unlike many other grocery stores, Court Street Grocers has personality.

Reuben is a special combination of fresh orwashers rye bread stuffed with either corned beef or turkey and some slices of Swiss and sauerkraut. Oh, and what they call their “come back sauce”.

The Court Street Grocers have recently added soda to the ever-growing list of food items they supply. The soda comes in four flavors, each with a different personality.

  • Sea to Sea: A soda designed to take you out to sea with a single sip. Ingredients include carbonated water, Maine sea salt, and Jacobsen sea salt.

  • Grocers original: A soda designed to be the favorite. You can enjoy it alone, cook with it or add it to a mix. Some stand-out Ingredients include chili pepper extract, coriander extract, fruit juice, bay leaf extract, the usual carbonated water, and so on. They took their time with this one.
