As recorded by Vine Pair, the Brooklyn Bridge formerly had two secret wine cellars under the ground. The large chambers were dark and always very cool, making it an ideal spot for storing wine and other drinks.
Little wonder why it was easy to have all these good wines in Dumbo too.
Getting to decide which of the bars to stop by might pose some issues. That is why I have highlighted the best bars in Dumbo so you don’t have to search too much or try too many options.
Most of the bars highlighted are in perfect locations with spectacular views of the city.
The view, the atmosphere, and of course, the wine were a few of the many reasons I picked these out as the best.

1. Rooftop Reds
63 Flushing Ave Building 275, Brooklyn, NY 11201, United States
This urban vineyard rooftop bar with comfortable cushions swing chairs, vines, and a beautiful wide sit-out area is located in the Flushing Avenue building.
They have tables among the planters with vines growing to provide comfortable shade.
The pleasant view of the sunset, the sparkling lights of Brooklyn, and the lower view of Manhattan make it the best spot to go enjoy a glass of great wine. The grapes used to make the wines are grown right on the roof of the building.
There is plenty of seating, cornhole, and activities like movie nights and themed parties for you to pipe down your perfectly brewed wine with. They have a selection of both red and white wines from the Finger Lakes region of New York.
Reservations are necessary to get a pass to enter the gate, but only the date, not the time needs to be specified. Your reservations most times permit you a 3 hours slot.
It’s a bit tough to find but all you have to do is to keep climbing the stairs to the roof of the building. Every step is definitely worth the climb.
Rooftop Reds is open from Tuesdays to Fridays (5: 00 pm – 9: 00 pm), Saturdays (12:00 pm – 4:00 pm, 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm), and Sundays (12:00 pm – 9:00 pm)
2. Randolph Beer Dumbo
82 Prospect St, Brooklyn, NY 11201, United States
I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge from NYC and found this little gem. The beer was self-served and I got to try different kinds.
It’s always so much fun trying out new flavors — both the good and the bad and trust me, their selection was quite a handful. Sounds like enough fun to go around. Yikes!
The nice ambiance and many options to add to your gluttony like the killer waffles, sweet potato fries, and tots in beautiful sauces make it a great spot that I would recommend.
Great to know that the food is much better than you find at most breweries.
You can place your order through your phone so it makes everything so simple — scan the barcode at the table and place your order. You can place orders for your friends on a shared tab.
You can also send the link to your buddies who are running late so they can place their orders before getting here.
The service is also good and the bartenders are very nice and well trained.
Randolphbeer is open from Tuesdays to Wednesdays (12:00 pm – 11:00 pm), Thursdays to Fridays (12:00 pm – 1:00 am), and Sundays (11:00 am – 8:00 pm).
66 Water St, Brooklyn, NY 11201, United States
This cozy brewery with a warm welcome and a nice pre-dinner (a cocktail, sometimes) is well sited in Water Street and next to Jacques Torres Chocolate. The location is a little bit noisy. The building is also made of brick walls and hard surfaces.
The prices are very reasonable, the service is efficient and friendly, and the servers are very knowledgeable.
Even if you are eating, as long as you make reservations, new diners, wines, and meals will keep coming. Plus getting reservations is super easy and that’s quite valuable to someone like me who likes to plan things late.
Not to mention its great playlist of music and fresh ambiance. This place is a perfect night out.
Seamores are open from Mondays to Sundays (12:00 pm – 9:00 pm).

It can be found on the corner of Jay and Water streets, literally in the shadow of the Manhattan Bridge. Its very friendly and welcoming atmosphere gives you the comfortable feeling of sitting in someone’s living room.
The place is filled with grownups of a variety of ages. Fortunately, there are no tortured folks dramatically sitting at the bar waiting to start or watch a fight.
Instead, they are happy adults who either want to pass time, chat with a friend, or enjoy the warmth in the atmosphere over a drink.
Their wine list is also so simple — not overwhelming but filled with good selections, just enough to make anyone happy.
The bartenders are friendly and excellently discharge their duties.
