10 Best Places To See The Brooklyn Bridge In NYC

Are you looking for the best view of the Brooklyn Bridge in New York?

Then you’re in luck because this article will show you where to get the city’s best unobstructed Brooklyn Bridge Views.

But first, let’s look at some facts and information about the bridge.

The Brooklyn Bridge is not only one of the Famous Bridges In New York but also one of the most famous attractions in New York and offers an incredible view of the city’s iconic skyline.

Not only is it a photogenic sight, but it is also a widely recognized cultural inspiration. The bridge has been depicted in many famous paintings and books. It has also been the setting for numerous documentaries, TV shows, and movies.

In addition, millions of postcards with pictures of the Brooklyn Bridge are sent around the world every year.

This far-famed bridge, connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn, is the oldest suspension bridge in the United States, and at 6016 feet, it’s also one of the longest. When it opened in 1883, after nearly 14 years of construction, it was the longest suspension bridge in the world.

It spans the East River and connects Manhattan with New York’s most populous borough, Brooklyn, one of the 5 Boroughs Of NYC.

Here are some top spots to see this NYC landmark and take photos without obstacles:

1. Brooklyn Heights Promenade

The Brooklyn Heights Promenade offers the best free views of the Brooklyn Bridge, especially at sunset. You also see Lower Manhattan and the skyline, Governor’s Island, and the Staten Island Ferry.

It’s one of the most outstanding vantage points in New York City.

The promenade is very easy to get to and is even wheelchair accessible. From Manhattan, all you’ve to do is cross the Brooklyn Bridge and head south to find the Brooklyn Heights Promenade.

At night, it’s the most romantic spot in the city. You’ll also have terrific views of the New York Harbor. It’s a photographer’s dream come true, so remember to bring your camera!

Before (or after), you can enjoy alfresco dining at one of the many restaurants on Montague Street (between Borough Hall and the Promenade area). Good ole burger, Chinese, Italian, French – you name it, you’ll find it here.

2. Brooklyn Bridge Park

Unlike some New York City parks that simulate rustic greenery, Brooklyn Bridge Park has a unique lure. The riverfront park offers numerous attractions for visitors from different age groups.

It’s one of the newest parks and was opened in 2010.

Located in DUMBO and facing Manhattan, the park offers its visitors a breathtaking view of the Brooklyn Bridge.

It’s also an ideal destination for weekend picnics. The lush green grass, the sounds of birds and water, and the view of the majestic bridge with the sun shining through is the perfect setting for an afternoon picnic.

3. Pebble Beach At Main Street Park

If the view at Brooklyn Bridge Park isn’t spectacular to your taste, you can go to Pebble Beach, one of the best Beaches in Brooklyn. It’s located at Main Street Park and next to Empire State Park, north of the Brooklyn Bridge.

Here you can see the bridge up close. Go for sunset, when the sun goes down, and the city lights come up. You’ll love it! The view is simply magical!

Like the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, Pebble Beach is also quite the romantic spot. It’s a beautiful place to take in the panoramic view of the bridge and Manhattan skyline while gazing across the East River with your partner.

You should know that Pebble Beach isn’t your typical soft sand beach with umbrellas and swimmable water. It is small and rocky. Still, it is an idyllic place to see the bridge in all its glory-with no obstacles. It is also the perfect place to snap magnificent photos for your Instagram feed.

If you live in Brooklyn, Pebble Beach is a nice location for a scenic evening stroll, too. Grab some ice cream at the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory near DUMBO to kick off the romance for you and your loved one.

One World Trade Center, formerly the Freedom Tower, is probably the most visited site in New York City due to the September 11 attacks. It is also home to the famous One World Observatory, which offers a sweeping view of the city.

The Observatory is a glass portal on the 102nd floor of the building, 1250 feet above street level.

It offers incredible views of the city’s landmarks such as the Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, and the Chrysler Building. You also get stunning views of the Hudson and East rivers.

Boat cruises around the city also offer some fine dining experiences with a live band in the background. You can enjoy a star hotel’s comforts on a dinner cruise around NYC.

The tours take place at different, convenient intervals so you can have lunch or dinner on board.

There are different categories of cruise deals for different budgets. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience this impressive bridge and the city of New York like never before.

7. Time Out Market

55 Water St, Brooklyn, NY 11201

The Time Out Market on the Empire Stores Building (along the waterfront in DUMBO) has some epic views of the Brooklyn Bridge. It is why it’s on my list of the best places to view the Brooklyn Bridge.

This indoor market is still pretty new, so not many people know about it yet. But if you’re looking for a nice place to enjoy the view of the Brooklyn Bridge while you eat or drink something, this is the place to go.

The view from the rooftop bar is insane! You can also take selfies with the bridge in the background or just photos of the bridge.

Helicopter tours in New York take the sightseeing experience to a new level.

Romantic dates, family outings, and birthdays become an unforgettable experience when you can see the city’s sights from a bird’s eye view. It’s one of the most popular and fun things to do in New York, albeit expensive.

Prices start at $189 per seat plus a $40 service charge and fuel surcharge per seat. Tourists can save massively by purchasing the New Yorker Helicopter Tour as an add-on to the New York Sightseeing Pass.

The flight lasts 12-15 minutes and takes you high above the Brooklyn Bridge for stunning views of the landmark, waterfront, and city skyline.

A helicopter ride can also be fun for friends or family, as a typical helicopter can carry up to six passengers. All pilots are certified and will ensure that the flight is safe and covers all the sights of the city.

You can admire the Brooklyn Bridge from high up on Pier 17 in Manhattan, near the South Street Seaport.

The pier is the most beautiful addition to this cobblestone seaport district after being devastated during Hurricane Sandy. The rooftop terrace is home to several restaurants, bars, and event spaces you can rent.

From the rooftop terrace, you have a sensational view of the waterfront with the Brooklyn Bridge in the background, the Statue of Liberty, and the Manhattan skyline. The views of the twinkling lights reflected on the water at night are breathtaking.

Yes, where else can you see the Brooklyn Bridge up close and in person, if not from the bridge itself?

It’s the most beautiful place to see the bridge, the East River, and the iconic New York skyline.

Take some Instagram photos up close – on the bridge, under the bridge, on the sides.

The photo opportunities at the Brooklyn Bridge are incredible. You won’t want to miss out!

Keep in mind, though, that this photo hotspot can get pretty crowded, especially in the afternoons and on weekends. So if you want to avoid the crowds and get some great, uninterrupted shots for your Instagram feed, engagement shoot, marketing campaigns, etc., you should go in the morning or at night.

That’s it!
