Tucked away in a dusty corner of Brooklyn, Rooftop Reds is the world’s first rooftop vineyard.
Boasting a 360-degree view of Manhattan and the surrounding boroughs, it’s also home to an expansive garden, picnic tables, and lots of adorable bunnies (seriously).
When you first pass through the gates, you’re greeted by a woman who will ask you if you’re going to be drinking; if so, she’ll give you a wristband and point you toward the bar. You can also purchase your bottle or two to take with you.
I recommend grabbing a glass (or two) of wine before venturing out into the rest of the park. The garden is lush and green, well-maintained, and beautifully plated. If you’re feeling ambitious, even wine bottles are hanging from trees!
As the name suggests, this is a great place to grab a drink while enjoying an amazing view of New York City—but it’s so much more than that.
Rooftop Reds offers something for everyone with its expansive garden, beautiful picnic tables, and charming bunnies hopping around everywhere. It’s also an excellent spot to host any event—from weddings to corporate.

The Water Tower Bar is a must-visit for anyone near Brooklyn, New York. It’s a classy place, with great drinks and delicious food.
The bar itself is in a former water tower: you can imagine that the interior design is pretty cool. The space isn’t huge, but it’s just the right size, and there’s plenty of seating.
There are some couches and high-top tables in the center, with booths lining the walls. The lighting is low, making for a great date spot or gathering place with friends.
The food offerings are small plates, which means you can try lots of things because nothing is too heavy or filling.
Their specialties are their meats and cheeses, which they source locally and rotate seasonally. Their drinks menu has an extensive wine and beer list and unique cocktails made with their spirits (they also distill their whiskey).
When you walk into The Water Tower Bar, you get an immediate sense of a few things:

Phone number:+1 347-566-3662
It’s all about the rooftop patio. This bar’s drinks are fine, in a pretty cool part of Brooklyn. But you’re going because of the view.

“The Roof is an amazing rooftop bar in Brooklyn with a view of the city. It’s a great place to hang out with friends and get a good drink. It was nice being up so high and looking at everything, but I think the drinks were my favorite part.
I had the Moscow Mule, and it was delicious! The food was also pretty good, but you have to order it ahead of time because they don’t have their kitchen set up on the roof yet. Overall, I would definitely recommend going if you’re in town.”

The food menu includes classics like burgers, chicken tenders, and nachos. There are also some unique options like the Nutella Burger, which has two patties topped with cheese and Nutella.
It is the kind of place that makes you feel like it’s your home away from home. This bar and restaurant have a super low-key vibe, with exposed brick walls and an eclectic mix of seating options, including mismatched chairs, sofas, and benches.
The food offerings are pretty inventive for a bar, but with a chef who has experience at some of New York’s most highly-rated restaurants, this is no surprise!
The menu changes often—you can see the current list of offerings on the website, but there are always vegetarian options alongside meat and seafood dishes.
If you’re going to Night of Joy just for drinks, they have an extensive beer menu (craft brews and more) and a great selection of mixed drinks featuring unique ingredients.
There are also a few cocktails that change every week based on what’s in season or whatever the bartenders feel like making!
