It’s one of Greenpoint’s best-kept secrets with a warm and laidback atmosphere. On top of that, the food is fantastic with top-notch service. It comes as no surprise why it was given a 4.4 out of 5-star rating by Google reviewers.
So if you’re ever passing by Greenpoint Ave., drop by at 21 Greenpoint for brunch or a late-night dinner and try some of their popular dishes such as roasted chicken, pizza Margherita, and smoked trout.

You can opt for their must-try ricotta pancakes or big brekkie for breakfast. For dinner, have their daily market oysters, housemade ricotta, or veggie burger for vegetarians and vegans.
5. Le Fanfare

It’s also a great Italian spot for brunch for serving stuffed french toast, lemon-ricotta pancakes, and avocado toast. For light meals, opt for pasta and sandwiches, as well as several salad dishes and sides.
6. Esme

The food is best paired with their selection of drinks such as cocktails, sparkling, and beers. If you’re a wine lover like me, you’d be glad to know this restaurant keeps a wide selection of wine – from white wine Stefan Vetter Sylvaner to red wine Tschida ‘Felsen I’ Blaufrankisch.
If you’re looking for a nice place for brunch, Chez Ma Tante offers New York’s most famous pancakes and several brunch staple dishes. Enjoy your typical comfort food such as quiche, poached eggs, and sausage Toulouse.

After visiting Paulie Gees, you get to say that pizza and wine are all you need for a fantastic meal. It’s a famous Brooklyn gem for a perfect slice of wood-fired pizza, as well as pies and homemade vegan sausages.
I must say, their unbelievably tasty pizza is a 5 out of 5 for me with its light and crispy crust. On top of that, you get to enjoy it in their cozy and charming atmosphere.
Dining in Pauli Gee’s will be a mix of people from Brooklyn and Manhattan. Although it may take a while to get seated, their long list of pizza options and palpable charm make it worth the wait.
9. Di An Di

Di An Di, which also means “let’s go eat”, is a modern and stylish Vietnamese cuisine located at 68 Greenpoint. It’s a minimalist restaurant with a vibe of nature for having lots of greenery.
Diners are amassed with its selection of popular Vietnamese food such as crispy spring rolls, sizzling five-spice mushrooms, and rice pepper salad.
Vietnamese food won’t be complete without its famous pho noodles including beef pho Hanoi, vegetarian pho Hanoi, and chicken pho.
Wanting more portions is not a problem at all as you can opt for more add-ons of various ingredients like wok beef, wok mushrooms, and poached chicken. This restaurant is an excellent place for your next dine-in with friends, a date, or even solo.

It’s a Spanish restaurant specializing in Barcelona dishes such as paellas, tapas, and classic sweets. If you fancy tapas, you can choose from traditional tapas like pica pica, selecció d’embutits, or truita de patates.
Other types of tapas you’ll enjoy are tapas from the garden, tapas with meat, and tapas from the sea. Paella is a customer fave including De carn, De peix, and De verdures.
Finish your meal with something sweet such as the creamy creme brulee foam or mouthwatering dark chocolate lava cake.
12. Citroën

Its dim and moody ambiance gives it a warm romantic vibe but can also be amusing because of its full-scale human skeleton decorations. The prices are set in Brooklyn standard and it’s a great place for celebrations and events.
If you’re having dinner, begin with one of their starters such as crudites, cheese plate, and foie gras mousse.
As for the mains, steak fries, pan-seared salmon, and pat lafrieda burger are some of the most-recommended dinner options to satisfy your appetite.
13. Bernie’s

You won’t regret coming to Bernie’s for a hearty classic American dish. Coming to Bernie’s, it’s surely a must to try their mozzarella sticks, burgers, and chicken parm.
It’s one of NYC’s hottest and hippest restaurants that is on a first-come, first-served basis, which means no reservations. So if you’re planning to have dinner with friends and family, it’s best to come earlier for a sure seat.
Among Bernie’s comfort food classics are chips and dip, baked clams, crispy chicken piccata, and vinegar chicken. For drinks, they offer a few selections of red wine, white wine, sparkling, drafts, and bottles and cans.
14. Naked Dog

Located just near Greenpoint’s waterfront views, Naked Dog is an authentic Italian restaurant with lovely and welcoming decor. Guests can eat in the rustic dining room or the cozy outside space.
If you don’t want to dine in, they have pickup and delivery options for your convenience. However, I’d recommend coming over for some lively music and bar experience.
Like most typical Italian restaurants, they offer housemade pasta dishes that are freshly made by hand including maltagliati, pappardelle, and ravioli. Other food options to look forward to are contorni e verdure, carne e pesce, and dolci.
15. Ramen Spot Made in NY

For an ideal ramen night, there’s no other place to go to than Ramen Spot Made in NY. It’s a Japanese restaurant serving Japanese ramen noodles including spicy miso, shoyu, tonkotsu, and chicken paitan.
They offer take-out or delivery options if ever you’re on a bed-weather lazy kind of night. Aside from noodle soup, they also have small dishes such as pork or shrimp bun, karaage, takoyaki, gyoza, jumbo shumai, and mango salad.
This restaurant is also vegetarian or vegan-friendly as they have vege gyoza dumplings and mushroom-based vegan ramen. Complete your taste of Japan with Yuzu White Peach, a refreshing Japanese sparkling drink.
